Why Do They Want Criminals in their City?

I have trouble understanding why people are rioting against the deportation of known criminal aliens in Minneapolis and other big cities. I cannot wrap my mind around the idea that any sane person would want thieves, murderers, rapists, and other violent people roaming free in their communities. What could possibly motivate the kind of violence that we are seeing in these cities?

The right to assemble and the right to petition the government for a redress of grievances are absolutely guaranteed to American citizens in our Constitution. Our Founders believed that these are among the “natural”, or God-given rights that our government is supposed to protect. Americans have the right to gather and to protest.

Rights come with responsibilities. To paraphrase Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes’ opinion in the United States Supreme Court case Schenck v. United States in 1919, “you cannot yell ‘Fire!’ in a crowded theater”. The rights to assemble and petition the government come with the responsibilities to remain peaceful, to respect existing laws, and not to interfere with other people's rights and liberties. As I see things, it does not appear that the protestors in Minneapolis are accepting the responsibilities that come with their rights.

I can understand why the Governor and the Attorney General of Minnesota, and the Mayor of Minneapolis do not want any federal agents in Minnesota. If I had had BILLIONS of dollars of public assistance stolen out from under me, I would not want federal agents around either! But why are supposedly ordinary citizens so rabid in their opposition to ICE removing known criminals?

Although the government has been very clear in stating that they are only looking for known, violent criminals, the protestors think(?), believe(?), are convinced that ICE is after every illegal alien, and that is not the case, yet. Someone, or many someones, are putting out false information to keep the anger high and the crowds turned out. But for what purpose?

Asking that question may lead to much darker and more sinister explanations than just “anger” at immigration law enforcement. These “protests” are far too sophisticated to be “grass roots”, spontaneous uprisings. They are coordinated, well-organized, directed, and well-funded attacks on civil and legal order. There can be no doubt that the Soros fortune is directing and financing much of the violence. According to Marcia Howard, head of the Minneapolis teacher union, city officials are actively involved in coordinating and planning the unrest. (Fox News - https://www.foxnews.com/us/minneapolis-teachers-union-chief-admits-elected-officials-anti-ice-signal-chats )

So, my original questions remain: what sane person would want thieves, murderers, rapists, and other violent people roaming free in their communities? And who is organizing and paying for all of this? These questions truly need to be answered.

You Can’t Cry for Everyone

About 30 years ago a pretty smart cow man said something that has really stuck with me. We were discussing a mutual acquaintance who was struggling in the cattle business, mostly because he was making poor decisions. The smart cow man said, “You can’t cry for everyone.”

I have thought a lot about that tis week while watching the news coverage of the ICE shooting of the protester in Minneapolis. It is always sad when someone’s life is cut short, and this senseless loss of life is sad, but much like our cow man friend from long ago, Ms. Good made a lot of bad decisions.

“You can’t cry for everyone.”

Oh, there is plenty of blame to go around in this death. Beside blaming Ms. Good for being there, trying to disrupt federal law enforcement, goading the officers, and hitting an agent with her car; quite a bit of blame can be laid squarely at the feet of Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey. He is solely responsible for not having Minneapolis police out on the streets in full force to keep the peace as the federal immigration agents do their legal work. Mayor Frey is so beholden to the Minneapolis Somali community that he will not even try to keep the peace. With the hundreds of millions – perhaps billions – of dollars stolen by the Somalis from government programs, one must wonder how much influence the Somalis have bought in Minnesota.

“You can’t cry for everyone.”

Minnesota’s grotesque joke of a governor Tim Walz gets to carry a fair share of the blame too. His inept, incompetent government has pandered to the Somali immigrants and turned a blind eye to their vast criminal enterprises and has been pandering. He even approved a redesigned flag for Minnesota that resembles a kindergartener’s rendition of the flag of Somalia. He has spent months demonizing the President and everything he does. It is no wonder that Minneapolis has become a crime ridden hell hole.

“You can’t cry for everyone.”

But the vast majority of the blame for Renee Good’s death falls on the incompetent ex-President Joe Biden. If the Biden government had enforced existing immigration laws like the Trump administration is doing, Minneapolis would not be crawling with ICE agents, anti-ICE protestors would not be harassing the agents, and Ms. Good would still be alive.

It is tragic that Ms. Good was killed. It is tragic that nearly twenty million people entered our country illegally. It is tragic that so many of our people accept lawlessness in our society. It is tragic that the Democratic party is fueling rage against the President, against law enforcement, and against traditional American values.

The whole damn thing is tragic, but when you sow the wind you shall reap the whirlwind.

“You can’t cry for everyone.”

Welcome to New Mogadishu!

Welcome to New Mogadishu!

Congratulations, New York City! You have just elected an inexperienced, childish, anti-Semitic, anti-American, Moslem to be your next mayor. You have bought the ticket, now get ready to take the ride.

Aside from being a Moslem – which should have been reason enough to vote against him, Mamdani’s socialist platform is not only childish, but completely unworkable. It is so stunningly insipid that it is hard to know where to begin dissecting it.

Minimum Wage – The Zohran has promised to increase NY’s minimum wage to $30/hour by 2030. Every time any government increases minimum wage two things happen simultaneously. First, there is an immediate increase in prices of goods and services to cover increased cost of labor, Second, there is an uptick in unemployment as those businesses that can not raise prices cut labor costs by cutting employees. You have bought the ticket, now get ready to take the ride.

City Owned Grocery Stores – This is even dumber than The Zohran’s minimum wage idea. His published platform calls for these stores to sell their products at the purchase price with no markup to cover costs. All operating costs, all hired labor, everything will be at the “city’s” expense. Which means at the taxpayers’ expense. This would be a bad idea even if The Zohran would seek out the best and brightest grocery chain managers to set this up and run it, but he will not. The Zohran will put his socialist buddies in charge, guaranteeing the bad idea will be a total cluster fuck. Other countries have tried government run stores in the past and all have failed. The Zohran’s no profit groceries will fail too. You have bought the ticket, now get ready to take the ride.

City Run Housing – Even more stupid than city run groceries are The Zohran’s plans to control housing rents in the city. It has been tried before and has failed before. It will fail again. Even more ignorant is The Zohran’s proposal for the city to build and manage “affordable” housing. Governments cannot manage anything and if this is enacted the city council of New York will become Gotham’s latest slumlord, owning overpriced, poorly built, crappy tenements. You have bought the ticket, now get ready to take the ride.

We could go on and on pointing out the idiotic things that New Yorkers voted for but let us just look at one more – free childcare. Beyond the fact that no government has any authority to provide childcare, this is an incredibly stupid idea. The Zohran’s plans to pay daycare workers the same as teachers, meaning minimally educated and trained people will be earning approximately $76,308 in today’s money. Just where do you think the money for those big paychecks will come from? Yep – your tax dollars! You have bought the ticket, now get ready to take the ride.

Yes, New York, you really stepped in it this time. As a wise cowman once told me, “You can’t cry for everyone.”  I do not have any sympathy for the city of New York and its residents. You made a dreadful choice by electing The Zohran. “As you sow, so shall you reap.” There will be no bountiful harvest of peace, tranquility, and prosperity in The Zohran’s socialist, dystopian version of New York City. America’s once greatest city will be nothing but a crime-ridden, filthy, third world shit hole city. Maybe a name change for your city is in order. Maybe “New Mogadishu” would be more fitting.

Yes, New Yorkers, you have bought the ticket, now get ready to take the ride.

The Simple Truth About the Shutdown

There are some fundamental, elemental truths behind all of the hand wringing and blame throwing surrounding the current government shut down. For all of the political grandstanding the simple truth is that previous, disingenuous governance and perennial failure by Congress to pass a budget is the root cause of the shutdown. We elect these people to do a few simple tasks; to protect the citizens from foreign invasion, to provide for civil order so that citizens can conduct their lives in peace, to fund the federal government, and to hold the president accountable for enforcing laws.

It should be obvious to any but the most intellectually blind partisans that Congress has failed miserably at fulfilling their Constitutionally required responsibilities. Unless you’re a total mind-numbed Democrat, it is obvious that Congress has been totally negligent in fulfilling its responsibilities for years. Congress stood idly by and allowed the Biden administration to let at least 20 million people enter our country in violation of existing laws. Congress has allowed our major cities to become violent, crime infested hell holes. And Congress has not passed a budget since 1997 – 28 years of total fiscal irresponsibility.

The sticking point in this shutdown is that the Affordable Care Act (aka ObamaCare) subsides are set to expire at the end of this year. There are a couple of things, Dear Reader, that you need to remember about the ACA. It was drafted entirely by Democrats and passed without a single Republican vote. This was the bill, if you recall, of which then Speaker of the House Nancy “Tippler” Pelosi said, “We have to pass the bill, to see what’s in the bill.” Legislative malfeasance at best – total incompetence at worst. Since no one read the ObamaCare bill before it was passed; no one knew that the built-in subsidies written into the law would expire at then of 2025.

There is an incredible intellectual dissonance in all of this. If the purpose of ObamaCare was to make health insurance “affordable” why were subsidies written into the bill? And, why didn’t Democrats fix this when they were in power? Why did they wait until the 11th hour to try to extend the subsidies? Does this speak of lack of leadership, political gamesmanship, or just gross incompetence and stupidity?

Any endeavor, industry, or business that requires subsidies is a failure by definition. Any legislator who votes in favor of subsidies should be thrown out of office. It is not the government’s responsibility to keep businesses or industries afloat. The free market is always right when left alone.

So here we are – 31 days into a ridiculous government shutdown all because Congress has abrogated its responsibilities for years. We are here because the Democrats passed an incredibly messed up law that forced Americans to buy a product from private companies – the very definition of fascist economics. We are here because Democrats failed to address the subsidies years before they expired.

We are here because of incompetence, political gamesmanship, and pandering. We are here because Democrat politicians care more for their positions, power, and kickbacks than they care about the American people. We are here because Democrats do not respect the will of the American people. We voted to see the federal budget cut – congressional Democrats want nearly 2 trillion more in spending – which was cut in the “One Big Beautiful Bill”.

We are here because the Ruling Class has no regard for the will of the voters.

We Swore That We Would Never Forget

September 11, 2025, this day dawned clear, clear, and bright. There was not a single cloud in the sky. It was a nearly perfect late summer day with just a hint of fall. It looked like a perfect day just to be alive.

September 11, 2001, that day dawned clear, clear, and bright. There was not a single cloud in the sky. It was a nearly perfect late summer day with just a hint of fall. It looked like a perfect day just to be alive. But, in one split second, the perfect day became a hell on Earth. It was perhaps the most horrific day in the history of the United Staes.

At 8:46 AM American Airlines Flight 11, supposedly bound from Boston to California, crashed into the North Tower of New York City’s World Trade Center. The fiery crash forever changed this country. The American homeland had not been attacked in 187 years. The inconceivable had happened. The protection that we thought two oceans provided, suddenly disappeared and America faced the reality that we could be attacked.

Our national innocence died that day.

We swore that we’d never forget.

For a very short time after the attack on September 11, we were unified as a nation. President Bush committed our nation to destroying the Islamic terror network that had conceived and conducted the attack. Our national resolve for righteous vengeance seemed nearly as strong are national horror was in the days following the attack. But, before the task was done, partisan politics reared its ugly head and our united thirst for vengeance gave way to “politics as usual;” our righteous Crusade whimpered and withered away to nothing. Within months, the horrific moment that we swore we would never forget was forgotten.

For nearly a quarter of a century, Americans have discussed and debated the causes of that dreadful attack. Possible causes and motives range from the somewhat plausible to the viciously anti-American. Over the intervening years, it has become almost heretical to state the obvious reason and cause for the attack of September 11, that being that Moslems are completely incompatible with modern, civilized societies.

I said it and I stand by it. In this case Occam’s Razor holds true.

You can rationalize and wander off into incomprehensible “nuances” of thought. You can blame American “imperialism,” or the now in vogue. “Colonizers,” but unless you understand, and accept, the simple fact that Islam breeds and fosters violence and hatred, you will never get it.

The world does exist, nor function by the “Ivy Tower,” “new age,” politically correct globalist guides and rules. Geo-political events, and therefore, history is driven by the aggressive use of force. Tyrants, bullies, and dictators drive events, and they prey upon the weak. Whether on the grade school playground, in third world shithole countries, or in the international arena, the strong prey upon the weak. There are not enough nuances in any deep, intellectual discourse to sway the tyrants, bullies, and dictators of the world. The only thing that tyrants, bullies, and dictators respect is strength.

And therein lies the cause of the 9-11 attack – ever since 1979, the government of the United States refused to confront Iran and the Islamist movement. They saw us as weak, and they attacked us.

It is just that simple.

We swore that we would never forget. But it is apparent that we have forgotten. Our nation has been overrun by as many as twenty million illegal aliens whose identities and motives are unknown. Our big cities have become crime infested hell holes. For twelve of the last 16 years, our federal government has not been serving the people. For those years, the elected, appointed, and hired bureaucrats have been only serving themselves. Our nation has looked weak upon the world stage – the last president unconditionally surrendered a defeated nation and billions of dollars’ worth of perfectly functioning military equipment to radical Moslem terrorists. After the Biden farce of a government our nation looks weak and vulnerable.

We swore that we would never forget.

We have forgotten. Shame on us.

He's Just in the Way

I find the vitriolic hatred for President Trump absolutely amazing and worth discussing. Donald Trump came into public prominence during the 1970’s, as much for his flamboyant lifestyle as anything else. He was a creation of the media – until he was not. The national press fawned on his every move – celebrated his wins and losses, compounded an already bigger than life character into a media superstar.

Mr. Trump published several best-selling books. He was celebrated for his philanthropy and well respected both in NY business circles and NY “high society.” NY media was filled with photos of Donald Trump with Black politicians and celebrities. Over the years, he was publicly acknowledged for his philanthropy. Here is a partial list of the awards he has received over the years:

National Jewish Hospital's Humanitarian Award (1976)

Jewish National Fund's Tree of Life Award (1983)

Ellis Island Medal of Honor (1986)

Freedoms Foundation's President's Medal (1995)

Muhammad Ali Entrepreneur Award (2007)

Unicorn Children's Foundation's Shining Star Award (2008)

Palm Beach Police Foundation's Palm Tree Award (2010)

Lois Pope LIFE Foundation's Presidential Hero Award (2011)

The Algemeiner's Liberty Award (2015)

Marine Corps–Law Enforcement Foundation's Commandant's Leadership Award (2015)

The Friends of Zion Museum's Friends of Zion Award (2017)

20/20 Bipartisan Justice Center's Bipartisan Justice Award (2019)

Donald J. Trump – celebrity, media personality, business mogul, best-selling author, TV star, and philanthropist; well liked by the media and the American people, until the moment he announced that he was running for president as a populist, nationalist, conservative Republican with a promise to “drain the Swamp” and to “Make America Great Again”.

In that one moment, Donald Trump went from being a well-loved, popular American original to being a racist, Fascist “threat to Democracy.”

Any serious observer of American politics must ask, what was there in Mr. Trump’s announcement, and in his positions, which caused such an immediate and vicious reaction to Donald Trump running for president? What was it that he said that so enraged the mainstream media and the established Ruling Class? Was there really anything that he said that triggered the full-on onslaught? Or was it simply that he openly, and harshly criticized the “status quo,” that he dared to point out the obvious – that America was being choked to death by globalism, “progressive” liberalism, unfair trade deals, endless foreign wars, and out of control spending?

Or was there something deeper, some formless fear of something that they did not understand, but feared at the foundation of their beings? You see, I genuinely think that the Progressives, Democrats, and their shills in the mainstream media sensed right from the start that Donald Trump could connect with the American people in a way that no other politician since Reagan has been able to. For all of Mr. Trump’s wealth and “glamour,” he has a connection to the people. Mr. Trump intuitively understands us, respects, and appreciates us. From that first announce in Trump Tower, Mr. Trump has spoken directly to use, to quote from Don McLean’s “American Pie,” “in a voice that came from you and me.”

There is nothing radical in President Trump’s policies and agenda. He wants America to be safe, to be prosperous, to be treated fairly by the rest of the world, and to be respected. He understands that there are limits, some set by the Constitution, others set by practicality, to what the Federal government can, and should do. Mr. Trump understands that governments must reflect society rather than be trying to modify society.

President Trump has a much better understanding of economics than do most politicians. He knows that debt is harmful to the economy. He knows that lowering taxes – to a point – always generates new revenue. Mr. Trump is a master negotiator. He starts with sometimes ridiculous sounding positions and then negotiates to close to what he wanted to begin with. This approach has worked wonders with the tariffs and has resulted in better trade deals and a tremendous amount of new, foreign investment in manufacturing facilities in the United States. All of which will generate jobs and cash flow for American workers.

The Ruling Class can only exist as long as the American people remain unaware of their existence and their real intent. President Trump presents a real and present danger to the Ruling Class simply because he speaks to us – and for us. He understands the American people and is standing up for us. The Ruling Class must crush the threat the President presents if it is to survive.

The Ruling Class and their media allies are attacking President Trump because he is us and they hate and resent us. They cannot maintain their power and the wealth that they are pillaging from us if we have a spokesman and a “champion” fighting for us. They must destroy President Trump or lose the power that they have taken from us.

So, make no mistake, it is not Donald Trump that they hate and fear, it is us that they hate and fear – he is simply in their way.

House Cleaning Long Over Due

I am having way too much fun watching the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) shine the light on the corruption run amok in our federal government. Democrats are flooding the media with their hysterical tirades against DOGE and President Trump, showing that their support is for the corrupt bureaucrats and wasteful spending and not for the best interests of the American people.

The reaction from the Democrats really does not make sense. But, silly me expecting the Ruling Class to make sense! They are not fighting to defend the spending. They are not explaining how the egregious spending is important to US interests. They are simply screaming bloody murder about the process! Their protests range from “no Constitutional authority” to Elon Musk is trying to steal our identities, to the DOGE folks lack “clearance”. It really seems like they are simply fighting President Trump just to be fighting him.

Or, more frightening, is that the Democrats are fighting the investigations because they are on the take and raking in big bucks from these absurd federal expenditures. When one looks at the published net worths of these elected officials, many of whom have had a real job, the idea of massive kickback schemes becomes a frightening possibility.

in fiscal year 2024 the US government will borrow $1.8 trillion to meet its committed spending. All told, Congress has incurred over $36 trillion in debt. As a nation, we owe 24% more than the value of all the goods and services produced in the US in a year. This is as unsustainable as it is absurd.

Several things are going on here that are enormously important. Primarily, there is the issue of “deficit spending.” The government does not have money of its own and can only spend money that it takes from citizens. Federal spending should not exceed taxation revenue. It is completely irresponsible to spend more than you have, and it is completely absurd to borrow money that must be repaid to “give” it away as “foreign aid”. While it is noble and honorable to help the less fortunate. Borrowing to do it is just plain stupid.

There also seems to be no accountability for how federal money is being spent once it is turned over to a department or agency. There seems to be a total breakdown between the House authorizing the spending and where the money ends up. Congress totally fails on its oversight responsibilities. This must change. But it cannot change until Congress fulfills its Constitutional obligation to pass an annual budget. That process also includes following up on how the money is spent – every dollar of it. And that, it seems, has not been happening for many years. It is critical that our government develop as a fool proof method of accounting as possible as quickly as possible.

There is no issue important now for than for President Trump and DOGE to root out all the fraud, waste, and corruption in government spending. This may be the most critical issue that our government has ever faced. The long-term survival of the nation may very well depend on whether the theft and corruption can be stopped.

How Did They Get It So Wrong?

Out here in “fly over” country, we joke about how weather forecasters and economists continue to be paid, even though they are wrong more often than they are right.  Most real Americans have to be, at least competent at what they are doing if they expect to be paid. We need to add pollsters to this elite group of folks who continue to be paid no matter how wrong they continue to be.

Once again, the political pollsters totally misread the intentions of the American voters. Right up until the vote counts started to be reported, the pollsters and pundits were telling us that the race was “too close to call”. Yet, for all their expertise, all their education, all their high-priced data, the election was not close.

As I write this on Thursday, President Trum holds a commanding 69 electoral vote lead over Harris and is ahead in the nation-wide popular vote by more that 5 million votes. This is an electoral land slide. How did the pollsters miss it?

Maybe a better question might be why did they miss it?

To be just, I think that I need to point out that many of Mr. Trump’s supporters are highly suspicious of governments and of the news media, including pollsters. There is a very real possibility that many Trump supporters might not have been honest with pollsters. Given this anti-authority tendency among Patriots, Conservatives, and Libertarians, it is possible that pollsters might never get a truly accurate picture as long as the news media remains so virulently “progressive”.

But our distrust in pollsters is not the only, nor the major cause for the dismal polling results. The fundaments of modern polling, coupled with deeply ingrained prejudices, and their sycophantic need for approval from the ruling elite has all but destroyed both their ability to take meaningful polls and their credibility.

The nature of their work almost necessitates that pollsters reside in the power centers of the country. They become neighbors with the Ruling Class and the peer pressure that comes with it. The pollsters want to fit in, they want to belong, and so they approach their polling with a preconceived bias to appease their neighbors.

This bias has its base in the fact that that pollsters are all college “educated”. Most of us know that colleges are no longer centers of higher education but are propaganda camps for the Ruling Class. Coming out of these propaganda camps, those people who go into polling begin with a pro-establishment, pro-Ruling Class bias. Their abilities to objectively gauge public opinion is skewed from the beginning.

It is also human nature to want to please “the boss”, to make sure that the guy footing the bill is pleased with the results. As every major news organization supports the Democratic Party and the Ruling Class, any poll conducted on behalf of any news organization is almost sure to be biased toward the Democrats.

If I, or anyone else with even a modicum of common sense, were commissioned to poll the residents of New Bethlehem on an issue, we would begin by finding out how many residents we would need to poll to get a representative sample and we’d speak with that many people at random. We would have an objective representation of what the people in New Bethlehem think of that issue.

At random. Therein lies the rub.

Pollsters no longer ask at random. Over the past 30 years identity politics has become the norm among the Ruling Class and the progressives. Every group of people must be broken down into a series of generally accepted demographic categories – male, female, white, black, college educated, etc. and so forth. The samples are not random, they are prescribed by the progressive idea that these arbitrary “identity groups” are monolithic voting blocs, that all college educated white men vote alike, all blue-collar workers vote alike, all women vote alike. We know that they do not, but this flawed concept has become one of the foundations of political polling. And we all know that if the foundation is flawed the end product will be flawed.

There is another, darker, more sinister reason the polling has been so dreadful over the past 20 years. It is possible that the pollsters, being part of the news media, may have moved from gauging public opinion to trying to influence public opinion. As wrong as all of the polls were this year, I am inclined to think that the pollsters were trying to discourage Trump voters and encourage Harris voters and because they were not accurately gauging sentiment in the country, they failed to influence voters.

Republican, Conservative, Libertarian, and Patriots must view polls and pollsters from here on with the skepticism that they treat mainstream news. They simply cannot be trusted any longer – for whatever reason. Like the news media, the pollsters have proven themselves not to be worthy of our trust or support. And like the tradition news media, it will take years of hard work for them to regain our trust.

Is Unity Truly Her Goal?

“Kamala the Chameleon’s” claim to being the candidate who can “unite” the American people might be the most ludicrous bit of nitwittery being bandied about in this election cycle. I really wonder what heinous protocols might await those among us who will refuse to “unite” with the “progressive” re-structuring of America. It is, after all, progressives who have called for “re-education” camps for Trump supporters.

Paula Collins, Democratic congressional candidate in NY Congressional District 21 has called for Trump supporters to be interred. Even party super-star HILLARY has called for “deprogramming” Trump “cultists”. Is this Harris’ plan for national unity, coerced agreement? This reminds me on Mao’s Cultural Revolution in Red China. Hard handed in my humble opinion.

We – Conservatives, Republicans, Libertarians, and Patriots – must bear in mind that the progressive leadership is well schooled in Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals” and one of his rules is "Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it." After more than 40 years of demonizing, personalizing, and polarizing their opposition, their calls for “unity” seem hollow, empty, and phony as hell. It was creepy Joe Biden, just four short years ago who promised to unite us, and then just the other day called us “garbage”. So much for bringing us all together.

The Alinsky progressives have spent almost 50 years demonizing everyone who has not been in complete lockstep with their every position. And those positions have become so extreme in the past 16 years that the gulf between the Democrats and the rest of us might be too wide to bridge.

When we disagree on runaway government spending – you call us mean spirited.

When we disagree on parents’ rights in the schools – you call us domestic terrorists.

When we disagree on men participating in women’s sports – you call us haters.

When we disagree on placing some limitations on pre-natal murder – you call us misogynists.

When we disagree on illegal immigration – you call us racists.

When we disagree on crime in our cities – you lie to us and say that our cities are safe.

When we tell you that we want our America to be safe, strong, free, and prosperous – you call us fascists and racists.

When we object to your radical climate proposals and your mandates that we submit to unsafe, untested, and dangerous vaccines – you call us science deniers.

Democrats have made it clear that they do not respect our beliefs, our culture. Our values and our desires to walk as free men. We hear Democrats pay lip service to “uniting” Americans – but they ignore, trash, vilify, and persecute Americans who disagree with them. Words are cheap, and politicians use them just to con people into voting for them. It is much more important to watch what people do. Has Kamala Harris shown us any respect?  How often has she supported positions that respect American values? Has she done anything in her career to show that she has any concern for the typical American? Do not fall for the words – look to the deeds done and not done.

At this point in our nation’s journey, I do not believe that there can be any unifying the American people. After 2 generations of the Alinsky Radicals dominating politics, popular culture, news media, and the public education system the divide between the Conservatives, Republicans, Libertarians, and Patriots and the progressive Democrats is irreparable. The United States, as founded and constituted, cannot exist much longer. The seeds of its death were sown by Saul Alinsky and nurtured by 50 years of progressive, power hungry, totalitarian Democrats. Our nation is on the brink of civil war and there will be no stopping it.

A Rare and Decent Man

I suffered through the Vice President “debate” just to try to see if I could learn something about the candidates. To be honest, I did learn somethings that I did not know, and had some things that I already knew, reinforced. First and foremost, none of these candidates EVER answers the actual question that they are asked. They use the question as a gateway to a campaign “talking point.” That annoys the hell out of me! If you are not willing to answer questions do not run for office! It is just that simple.

I learned that Governor Walz is not particularly bright. He did not seem to have a particularly deep understanding of economics or how tax rates affect tax revenue. (Reference the Laffer Curve.) Walz, like Harris, is a Marxist. Their fallback position is “class envy” and “class strife.” That is such a despicable ideology. How can we build a peaceful, united, society if our government is constantly pitting one group of citizens against another?

Our current tax system is unfair. Every adult citizen should pay the same percentage of their income as tax. Write – offs and exemption should be exceedingly rare and be offered to every taxpayer. No citizen should pay a higher percentage of their income as tax than any other taxpayer. And pigs might fly.

Mr. Walz also showed no understanding of foreign policy and the need for a strong, stable United States. The man is simply not ready for the role of Vice President. He touted all the remarkable success that Minnesota has had under his leadership, but studiously skirted his lack of leadership during the riots of 2020. “Buffoon” is the word that comes to mind.

I also learned that the lamestream media has been dreadfully unjust in their portrayal of Senator Vance. Ever since he emerged on the national scene as a candidate for Senate in Ohio, the media has painted Mr. Vance as a wild eyed, crazed radical, politically somewhere between Adolph Hitler and Attila the Hun. I was expecting to hear all kinds of white jingoist rhetoric; what I heard was an articulate, thoughtful, intelligent man with a depth of knowledge about the issues facing our nation.

Senator Vance presented himself as a steady, calm, unflappable man. He exuded confidence and leadership ability. He made his positions clear; he took no crap from the moderators, and he was gentile and gentlemanly throughout the discussion.

The senator also used two very subtle, totally devastating devices throughout the debate that were simply brilliant. Every time he referenced the current administration he said, “Kamala Harris” not “Joe Biden,” thereby assigning all blame for the current dumpster fire that is our world squarely on Harris. It was brilliant!

The other device was also devastating, but in a different manner. Throughout the entire debate, Senator Vance referred to Governor Walz by his first name, instead of by his title, thereby minimizing Walz’s political stature. These both show the senator’s strategic skill and thinking ability.

The most important moment of the debate came when Senator Vance spontaneously reacted to Walz saying that his 17-year-old son had witnesses a shooting. The senator’s response was incredible.

He said, “"Tim, first of all, I didn't know that your 17-year-old witnessed a shooting, and I'm sorry about that and I hope he's doing OK," he said. "Christs have mercy, it is awful." This was not scripted, was not planned, was not practiced, or rehearsed. It was an honest, heartfelt reaction from a good and decent man. In an era bereft of decent people in positions of power, Senator J. D. Vance stands out as a decent, honorable gentleman.

I grew up in Appalachia, though not of Appalachian people. The people of Appalachia hold many of the characteristics that exemplified America at its best. J. D. Vance embodies the kindness, the decency, the rugged individualism, and the simple goodness of his mountain country heritage. Senator Vance, if elected, will be a strong influence for good on President Trump.

J. D. Vance is one more good reason to vote for Donald Trump for president.

The Real Existential Threat to Democracy

I often wonder what it must be like to be a Democrat. I mean, how do you parrot the idiotic things that your Party leaders say? How do you call fellow Americans Nazis just because hey disagree with you? How do you justify calling Republicans and Conservatives racists simply because they don’t agree with you that the white race is the cause of all the World’s problems? I wonder how you can look at the price of gas and groceries and claim things are great in America. How can you think about the disastrous, unconditional surrender of Afghanistan to the Taliban and a world being engulfed by war and think your guy is doing well? What is it like to know that your political party hid the president’s dementia from you for 5 years?

But I really wonder what it must be like to be a Democrat today knowing that your political party does not respect YOUR vote in the recent presidential primaries.

Millions of you turned out to vote in your state primaries and caucuses and voted for Biden. About 85% of registered Democrats voted for Biden in the primaries. Now, after the whole world saw his imcomptency, his obvious cognitive impairment, and raging dementia during the presidential debate and the NATO press conference – the elites in the Democratic party have dumped him. YOUR votes do not matter to them.

Your votes in the primaries don’t count. The will of the people doesn’t count. All that counts is winning – and it only counts because of the wealth that accrues to those in power. Your Party doesn’t care about you – all they care about is there power and the monet they can get from that power.

Your Party doesn’t care about you. If they cared about you, gas would still be less than $2 a gallon, graceries would be 40% less than they are now, our borders would be closed, and the world would be at peace.

And if they cared about you they would not have hidden Biden’s dementia from you for 5 years and they wouldn’t be overturning your primary votes.

You Democrats can claim that President Trump is an “existential threat to Democracy” for questioning obvious problems with vote counting in the 2020 election. You can claim that until the cows come home, but from where I sit, it is the Democratic Party that has no regard for the will of the people.

The Post Turtle

The Presidential debate on June 27 was the most disturbing and frightening thing that I have seen in more than a half century of observing Presidential politics. It was also perhaps the saddest public display of aged caused incompetence that I have ever witnessed.

I am no fan of Joe Biden. I had him pegged as a buffoon when he first appeared on the national scene in 1973. He was a cocky, arrogant braggart; the archetypical “empty suit” politician. Even 50 years ago, Joe Biden was well-known for his verbal gaffes. The man was stupid long before he became senile. And, he has always had a mean streak.

According to the UCal Santa Barbara “American Presidency Project Website”, "Senator Joseph R. Biden Jr., fighting to salvage his Presidential campaign, today acknowledged 'a mistake' in his youth, when he plagiarized a law review article for a paper he wrote in his first year at law school.” Biden also lifted almost word for word a long portion of a speech given by British politician Neil Kinnock (https://www.presidency.ucsb.edu/documents/trump-campaign-press-release-copy-that-joe-bidens-long-record-plagiarism). Revelation of that fact caused Biden to drop out of the 1988 Democratic presidential primary. He also plagiarized from a speech by Robert F Kennedy (same source). The man has a well-known history of using the words of others without attribution.

Even as much as I dislike the man, the revelations of his corruption took me totally by surprise. I have always assumed that most politicians enrich themselves while in office, but this guy takes the cake, if even half of the allegations are true, this man might be the most corrupt man to ever occupy the White House.

Yet, even with my total disdain for the man, it was incredibly sad to watch him on TV last Thursday night. The man had no business being there. His bumbling, wandering, incomprehensible answers were devoid of substance and just made no sense. Watching him was like watching a fish out of water – flopping around, gasping for coherency like a fish gasping for water to breathe.

I can’t get the image of the “post turtle” out of my head either.

For those of you unfamiliar with that term, let me explain it. When you're driving down a country road you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that's a 'post turtle'. You know he didn't get up there by himself, he doesn’t belong up there, he doesn't know what to do while he is up there, and you just wonder what kind of an asshole put him up there to begin with.

The whole spectacle was tragically sad.

Aging is a normal part of life. As we age, our physical and mental abilities decline. We each age at differing chronological times and at differing rates. None of us have the same abilities at 70 that we did at 40, it is just a fact of life. Most of us acknowledge those limitations – though grudgingly sometimes – and adjust our lifestyles to accommodate the new realities that we face. At least the wise among us do.

Our mental and cognitive abilities tend to decline as we age, too. Regardless of how sharp we were in our prime, our abilities to remember, reason, and retain new knowledge decline as we age. Most of us do retain enough of our mental abilities to independently function and contribute well into our 70s and 80s. Some of us don’t. The wise, or at least the well adjusted among us accept (if not graciously) the limits and restrictions that age imposes. The wise, or at least well adjusted among us, do not continually try to exceed our limitations. And many of us who consider trying to exceed them have spouses and families to advise us not to – or to restrain our stupidity! His debate performance showed that Biden has neither the wisdom, nor the family support, to stop from making a pathetic spectacle of himself.

Putting aside all personal and political objections to the man, it was nothing short of tragic to see him on TV. He was in no way presidential. He was a caricature of a man; a fumbling, doddering, incompetent old man; incapable of expressing a coherent thought. No person should have to endure the humiliation of being seen in the condition Biden was in during the debate. It was terribly sad.

If Biden himself chose to be on TV that night he obviously is incapable of making good decisions. If his wife and advisors forced him to be there, the should be arrested and charged with elder abuse. He just should not have been there. It was cruel, humiliating, and just sad.

It was also frightening to see the most powerful man in world reduced to an incoherent, totally incompetent, senile being. It was frightening to see this husk of a man and to know that he holds incredible power over 340 million Americans. This doddering old man has the authority to launch nuclear weapons. But more frightening was the fact that all of America’s enemies also saw this pathetic spectacle and now know that America offers no danger to them. The once great and mighty United States has been reduced to a toothless, paper tiger – a caricature of what we once were – by Joe Biden – an empty, tragic caricature of a man.

The Fate of America Hangs in the Balance

Sometimes I think that I might be Rip Van Winkel. I see what is going on in my country, and I have no idea how our society and government has collapsed into the bizarre psycho, tragic-comedy that I see all around me. The America that I see in this summer of 2024 looks like a cross between 1930’s Germany, a third world banana republic, and a Soviet – era Communist police state observed through a warped Alice in Wonderland looking glass. I never thought that I’d live to see this once great nation being destroyed by its own government, while the whole civilized seems to rushing pell mell toward World War III and the collapse of modern civilization.

Every 4 years for the past 20 years or so the politicians tell us that “this is the most important election in our lifetime”. Looking at the current clown show currently playing in Washington DC, one might conclude that a vast majority of voters have not taken elections seriously for quite some time. It is a colossal understatement to say that our nation is bereft of responsible leadership. It is hard to see anything that this current government has done to improve the lives of most Americans, to make American safer, or to make the world more peaceful. For the life of me, I cannot see anything that is better today than it was before the Covidiocy and the election of “Brandon” Biden.

It is hard to know where to begin listing the things that are worse now than they were before. Before we let the government shut down the country over the pandemic hoax, the American economy was stronger than it had ever been. Most American cities were peaceful and relatively safe – exceptions being some of the Democrat run cities like Portland and Seattle. Gas was cheap. The worst of the Moslem terrorists around the world had been defeated and the world was at peace. Our Southern border was secure with very few migrants entering illegally. Our country, hell the whole world, was so much better off 4 short years ago than it is today.

Within hours of his swearing in, Biden signed dozens of “executive orders” completely destroying border security, ushering in the largest invasion of any nation in the history of the world. There is no other responsible way to describe the current inflow of single, military age, young men from China and other countries that hate America. (Very plausible nightmare scenario: a group of container cargo ships enter Sea-Tac. His inept and stupid Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas, continually tells Congress that “our border is secure” and our elected representatives refuse to hold him or the President accountable. Estimates vary from 2.5 to 4 million undocumented, un-vetted persons have entered the US since 2021. Most of these folks have been released into the country with no system to track them or to ensure that they show up for their immigration hearings. Many of these people are being fed, clothed, housed, and provided with limitless healt care by American taxpayers. City governments around the country are paying luxury hotels to house these migrants. Every week, we read in the news about some heinous crime being committed by an illegal migrant.

Compounding the economic burden, is the reality that Mexican drug cartels are using these migrants as “mules” to carry fentanyl into the country for distribution. The Centers for Disease Control estimates that in 2022 and 2023 over 150,000 (mostly teenaged) Americans died from fentanyl overdose. That alone is enough to justify closing the southern border entirely. We are also seeing outbreaks of diseases that had been eradicated in our country. There are reports of measles, leprosy, and tuberculosis among the un-vetted migrants. There is nothing that benefits ordinary Americans in the open order policies of this administration.

Our economy is in shambles. President Trump’s “stimulus” money was bad economic and fiscal policy. But, the Biden administration’s 3.3 trillion dollar “American Rescue Plan spending blew the bottom out of our economy, leading to the runaway inflation that is crippling every single American. Gasoline is almost double the price it was in November of 2020. Food prices have increased by more than 25% since 2021, with no signs of returning to previous levels. No one in our country is immune from this unnecessary – and totally preventable – inflation. Our oldest Americans have seen the value of their retirement saving cut by a quarter, working Americans are seeing their buying power diminish with every paycheck. But it’s the lowest earning Americans who are suffering the most from inflation as they have to spend a larger percentage of their earnings on food and energy that do higher wage earners. Only a handful of Americans are benefiting from the current economic policies of this administration. Most of us are being crushed by it.

The runaway inflation ravaging our economy has triggered massive increases in interest rates as the Federal Reserve tries to quell the inflation. These higher interest rates are supposed to suppress borrowing in order to take money out of the economy. While it does work, it also creates hardship for homeowners who do not have fixed interest loans and for businesses that need to borrow in order to operate. For those of you who do not remember the early 1980’s, interest rates topped 21% before that round of inflation was broken.

While interest rates themselves cannot be blamed on the President, certain presidential actions are exacerbating the pain that higher interest rates are causing. If the cause of inflation is too much money chasing too few goods and services, then government should be striving to help get excess money out of the economy and to increase the amount of goods and services in the economy. The current Biden government continues to spend way too much money on domestic programs, pumping ever increasing amounts of money into the economy fueling inflation while the Federal Reserve is increasing interest rates to stop inflation. Meanwhile, all of us are suffering.

The other tool that the government should be using to get the economy back on track is to promote the growth of industries and businesses to develop more goods and services in the economy to fight inflation. However, the current administration is making business startup and expansion virtually impossible with their doubling down on regulations and their idiotic “green” requirements. Once again, for whatever reasons, the current administration is taking actions that are hurting a majority of the American people.

No discussion of the collapse of America can be complete without considering the total clown show that is Biden’s foreign policy. During the 4 years of President Trump’s presidency the world was at relative peace. America had destroyed the Caliphate, held Iran’s nuclear ambitions in check, convinced the Russians and the Chinese that military adventurism would come at a very high cost. Trump’s oil development policies deprived Russian and Iran of the cash that they needed to field armies. Mr. Trump was also able to convince our NATO allies to pay their share of NATO’s expenses. Like President Trump’s border policies, Biden just simply had to try to completely undo everything President Trump accomplished. And so we see a world rushing headlong into the next world war.

Biden’s first, and most incredibly stupid, act in foreign affairs was his mindless retreat – which became a rout – from Afghanistan. President Trump had set a time line to withdraw, but amended it due to conditions on the ground. As US forces withdrew, the Taliban stepped in. That was not the deal that President Trump had agreed to and so he stopped the withdrawal. That sort of makes sense to a person with any ability to think logically. Biden just had to to bring the troops home, consequences be damned! The Taliban seized control of every bit of territory that our army withdrew from and immediately implemented medieval Islamic rule. As the Taliban’s hold on the country grew, Biden increased the pace of the retreat until it was nothing more than a rout – a panicked fleeing in the face of an enemy. During the last year of President Trumps term, not a single US service man had been lost to enemy fire in Afghanistan. That nation was at peace, thanks to the US military presence.

But Biden just had to “end the war”. Maybe it was just his need to do everything to unravel President Trump’s successes. Maybe in his demented, senile mind, he thought that it was 1968 again and he was ending the war in Vietnam. The images from the airport in the last days of the rout were worse even that the picture of the last helicopter leaving Saigon. As bad as it was to unconditionally surrender to the Taliban, Biden left nearly $90 billion in fully functioning top of the line weapons, planes, tanks, and vehicles behind. Never in all of human history has a victorious nation unconditionally surrendered, withdrawn precipitously, and left behind all of there weapons so that their vanquished foe could rearm. When the history of these times is written Joe Biden will be hailed as one of the biggest fools to ever lead a powerful nation.

Biden’s betrayal of the Afghans completely destroyed America’s standing in the world. Our Allies no longer trust us and our enemies no longer fear us. Biden’s energy policies have driven up oil prices and made room in the world market for Russian and Iranian oil to fund their aggression. Without America as a strong, stabilizing force, the world is at the mercy of tyrants and those who would be tyrants. Rush Limbaugh used to say that “world events were driven by the aggressive use of force”. Those willing to do so have nothing to fear from Biden’s America. We’re not even a “paper tiger” anymore – we’re just a joke, but millions of people around the world are suffering and dying because this government has turned its back on our responsibilities to the world.

Theses are just what this writer sees as the worst transgressions of this administration, but it is not a complete list. The administration’s fanaticism with green energy and forced social engineering is splintering our society and causing devastating social unrest. The blatant disregard for laws and accepted norms makes the divisions in our society worse. Nothing, absolutely nothing that tis government has done since January of 2021 has improved the lives of any Americans. Our government, our economy, our safety, and very way of life are being threatened every day that this government remains in power. It will take years to undo the damage that Biden and his minions have done.

The hopeless, hapless, incompetent, corrupt, and senile Biden does not bear all of the responsibility for all of mess that he has created. Congress has completely abrogated its oversight responsibilities. Regardless of party affiliation any congressman or senator who has supported this administration needs to be voted out of office. Our government is supposed to serve the American people, not to rule us. And this administration is all about ruling and not interested in serving.

So, maybe “this is the most important election in our lifetime”. Our nation cannot endure another 4 years of what we have gone through in the last 3 ½ years. Four more years of this and the world will be engulfed in war, our society will be a splintered mess, our cities will be totally over run by crime, and te cost of living will be beyond the reach of the average American. But, it is not enough just to vote Biden out of office. We need to vote out every congressman and senator who supports any part of the progressive, Biden agenda, regardless of party affiliation. The fate of America as we have known it hangs in the balance.

The Most Ancient Hatred

I am baffled and amazed by the complete numb-minded support that so many people have for the Palestinians. Moslems supporting the Palestinians is to be expected; as their hatred of the Jews is a tenant of their “religion” and goes all the way back to Abraham at the beginning of Jewish history.

“And, the Lord God said to Hagar, ‘Behold, thou art with child, and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael; because the LORD hath heard thy affliction. And he will be a wild ass of a man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him . . .’” (Gen 16:11-12)

The Lord God chose Issac, Abraham’s second son, over Ishmael the first-born, to be the Father of His chosen people, the Jews. And, there has been no peace in that part of the world since then. Destroying Israel and annihilating the Jews are foundational tenets of the Moslem “religion”.

Non-Moslem support for the Palestinians stems from either a willful ignorance of history, a mindless acceptance of Marxism, or deep-rooted hatred of the Jews. Thoughtful, intelligent people capable of independent thinking cannot support the Palestinian cause, which is based on driving all of the Jews out of Israel.

Ignorance of history can lead some to believe that Israel is in the wrong. Those who know the history of the region, know that Israel gave the Palestinians the ability to create a “government” for the Gaza Strip and portions of the West Bank in 1994. The Palestinian Authority was intended to give the Palestinians a framework to develop a true Palestinian state. Hamas, a Moslem terrorist group won electionsin 2004, setting off a 3 year civil war. Hamas gained total control of the Gaza Strip in 2007 and began their terrorism campaign against Israel. Israel has endured 17 years of bombings, terrorist attacks, and missile launches by Hamas in Gaza. These attacks came to a head on October 7, 2023, when Hamas launched a series of raids across Israel killing and raping and taking more than100 hostages. Israel’s attack on Gaza is in retaliation for the Oct 7 attacks and for 17 years of violence against the Israeli people.

Every nation has the right to defend its people from foreign and domestic attacks. That is one of the few legitimate roles of government.  I doubt that many of the pro-Palestinian supporters would be pleased if their neighborhood was bombed by another nation and our government just let it ride. Ignorance of the history and realities is absolutely essential if one supports the Palestinians in this current conflict.

The pro-Palestinian shills condemn Israel for destroying hospitals in Gaza and creating a “humanitarian crisi”. Hamas used civilian hospitals as arsenals and command and control centers for their terrorist campaign. A nation cannot win a war without destroying the enemy’s weapons and communications ability. The enemy chooses where he stores his weapons. Civilized nations do not put their arsenals and weapons in civilian areas. Civilized nations try to limit civilian deaths in conflicts. Barbarians put civilians in harm’s way. Ruthless barbarians use civilians as human shields.

Yes, there are civilian deaths in the Gaza war.  And, yes, there is a humanitarian crisis. But, the entire responsibility rest solely with the Hamas terrorists. The terrorists wove their fighters and weaponry tightly throughout the civilian population of Gaza, thereby guaranteeing massive civilian casualties when Israel finally did attack. In a vicious, calculated plan to either prevent Isreal from attacking, or to try to influence public opinion against Israel,  Hamas used the entire population of Gaza as blood sacrifices in the “holy war” against the Jews. It is not Israel that is conducting genocide against the Gazans; it is Hamas.

I said earlier that mindless, thoughtless acceptance of Marxism was another reason that many Americans support Hamas, although they claim to support the Gazans. Americans have become extraordinarily lazy mentally. That is the lure of Marxism; one need not think about right or wrong, just or unjust, one only needs to “know” who the “oppressors” are. Marxism simplifies this too.  “White” is always the “oppressor”, brown is always the “oppressed”, regaedless of the situation. In the case of the Jews and the Gazans, both of which are brown skinned, Semitic people,  Marxism provides another solution that does not require the expenditure of any mental energy. The US always supports the bad guys. Therefore, in this present crisis, Israel is the “evil”.

Marxism is such a crutch for people who are too stupid or too lazy to think for themselves, but who want to appear “woke” and oh! so sophisticated!!

While the thinking part of me truly wants to blame ignorance of history and stupid, unquestioning Marxism for the anti – Israeli, a deeper, older part of me knows the real reason, and it is darker, uglier, and more destructive even than Marxism. I believe through observation guided by experience, that there is a deep seated bias in most non-Jews against Jews. The Jews have been a separate people since the beginning of history. Regardless of the atrocities committed upon them, they refuse to be destroyed, they refuse to be assimilated, they refuse to forsake their God.

The mistrust and fear of the Jews is older than the history of mankind. It is deeply ingrained in cultures around the world. Forcibly removed from Israel, first by the Assyrians, then by the Babylonians, by the Greeks and Macedonians, and lastly by the Romans, the Jews return to Israel again and again. Even the Holocaust in which the Nazis killed 6 million of Europe’s 9.5 million Jews could not destroy them. No matter how many generations, how many centuries they are dispersed, they hold onto their culture, their language, their religion, and their God. Even when they seem to assimilate, they remain distinct and unique from those around them – they remain Jewish. Their difference, their resiliency, their unwavering faith threatens what others understand. They have been “strangers in a strange land” for 3,000 years, but remain true to themselves. No other prejudice is as deeply held as the prejudice against the Jews.

While we “boomers” embraced Dr. King’s ideal of judging people by the “content of their character” not by the “color of their skin” and worked tirelessly to overcome our racial prejudices, anti-Semitism always simmered just below the surface. And after 20 years of our political “leaders” driving wedges between races, religions, ans political beliefs, the atmosphere in America is ripe for anti-Semitism to once again rear its ugly head. It has not taken long for the ancient ugliness to become manifest given the conflict and the barrage of anti-Israeli news coverage. At the root of all of the Palestinian support – whether from ignorance of history, Marxism, lies the ugly reality of anti-Semitism and an inbred hatred of the Jews.
