Welcome to New Mogadishu!

Welcome to New Mogadishu!

Congratulations, New York City! You have just elected an inexperienced, childish, anti-Semitic, anti-American, Moslem to be your next mayor. You have bought the ticket, now get ready to take the ride.

Aside from being a Moslem – which should have been reason enough to vote against him, Mamdani’s socialist platform is not only childish, but completely unworkable. It is so stunningly insipid that it is hard to know where to begin dissecting it.

Minimum Wage – The Zohran has promised to increase NY’s minimum wage to $30/hour by 2030. Every time any government increases minimum wage two things happen simultaneously. First, there is an immediate increase in prices of goods and services to cover increased cost of labor, Second, there is an uptick in unemployment as those businesses that can not raise prices cut labor costs by cutting employees. You have bought the ticket, now get ready to take the ride.

City Owned Grocery Stores – This is even dumber than The Zohran’s minimum wage idea. His published platform calls for these stores to sell their products at the purchase price with no markup to cover costs. All operating costs, all hired labor, everything will be at the “city’s” expense. Which means at the taxpayers’ expense. This would be a bad idea even if The Zohran would seek out the best and brightest grocery chain managers to set this up and run it, but he will not. The Zohran will put his socialist buddies in charge, guaranteeing the bad idea will be a total cluster fuck. Other countries have tried government run stores in the past and all have failed. The Zohran’s no profit groceries will fail too. You have bought the ticket, now get ready to take the ride.

City Run Housing – Even more stupid than city run groceries are The Zohran’s plans to control housing rents in the city. It has been tried before and has failed before. It will fail again. Even more ignorant is The Zohran’s proposal for the city to build and manage “affordable” housing. Governments cannot manage anything and if this is enacted the city council of New York will become Gotham’s latest slumlord, owning overpriced, poorly built, crappy tenements. You have bought the ticket, now get ready to take the ride.

We could go on and on pointing out the idiotic things that New Yorkers voted for but let us just look at one more – free childcare. Beyond the fact that no government has any authority to provide childcare, this is an incredibly stupid idea. The Zohran’s plans to pay daycare workers the same as teachers, meaning minimally educated and trained people will be earning approximately $76,308 in today’s money. Just where do you think the money for those big paychecks will come from? Yep – your tax dollars! You have bought the ticket, now get ready to take the ride.

Yes, New York, you really stepped in it this time. As a wise cowman once told me, “You can’t cry for everyone.”  I do not have any sympathy for the city of New York and its residents. You made a dreadful choice by electing The Zohran. “As you sow, so shall you reap.” There will be no bountiful harvest of peace, tranquility, and prosperity in The Zohran’s socialist, dystopian version of New York City. America’s once greatest city will be nothing but a crime-ridden, filthy, third world shit hole city. Maybe a name change for your city is in order. Maybe “New Mogadishu” would be more fitting.

Yes, New Yorkers, you have bought the ticket, now get ready to take the ride.

The Simple Truth About the Shutdown

There are some fundamental, elemental truths behind all of the hand wringing and blame throwing surrounding the current government shut down. For all of the political grandstanding the simple truth is that previous, disingenuous governance and perennial failure by Congress to pass a budget is the root cause of the shutdown. We elect these people to do a few simple tasks; to protect the citizens from foreign invasion, to provide for civil order so that citizens can conduct their lives in peace, to fund the federal government, and to hold the president accountable for enforcing laws.

It should be obvious to any but the most intellectually blind partisans that Congress has failed miserably at fulfilling their Constitutionally required responsibilities. Unless you’re a total mind-numbed Democrat, it is obvious that Congress has been totally negligent in fulfilling its responsibilities for years. Congress stood idly by and allowed the Biden administration to let at least 20 million people enter our country in violation of existing laws. Congress has allowed our major cities to become violent, crime infested hell holes. And Congress has not passed a budget since 1997 – 28 years of total fiscal irresponsibility.

The sticking point in this shutdown is that the Affordable Care Act (aka ObamaCare) subsides are set to expire at the end of this year. There are a couple of things, Dear Reader, that you need to remember about the ACA. It was drafted entirely by Democrats and passed without a single Republican vote. This was the bill, if you recall, of which then Speaker of the House Nancy “Tippler” Pelosi said, “We have to pass the bill, to see what’s in the bill.” Legislative malfeasance at best – total incompetence at worst. Since no one read the ObamaCare bill before it was passed; no one knew that the built-in subsidies written into the law would expire at then of 2025.

There is an incredible intellectual dissonance in all of this. If the purpose of ObamaCare was to make health insurance “affordable” why were subsidies written into the bill? And, why didn’t Democrats fix this when they were in power? Why did they wait until the 11th hour to try to extend the subsidies? Does this speak of lack of leadership, political gamesmanship, or just gross incompetence and stupidity?

Any endeavor, industry, or business that requires subsidies is a failure by definition. Any legislator who votes in favor of subsidies should be thrown out of office. It is not the government’s responsibility to keep businesses or industries afloat. The free market is always right when left alone.

So here we are – 31 days into a ridiculous government shutdown all because Congress has abrogated its responsibilities for years. We are here because the Democrats passed an incredibly messed up law that forced Americans to buy a product from private companies – the very definition of fascist economics. We are here because Democrats failed to address the subsidies years before they expired.

We are here because of incompetence, political gamesmanship, and pandering. We are here because Democrat politicians care more for their positions, power, and kickbacks than they care about the American people. We are here because Democrats do not respect the will of the American people. We voted to see the federal budget cut – congressional Democrats want nearly 2 trillion more in spending – which was cut in the “One Big Beautiful Bill”.

We are here because the Ruling Class has no regard for the will of the voters.

We Swore That We Would Never Forget

September 11, 2025, this day dawned clear, clear, and bright. There was not a single cloud in the sky. It was a nearly perfect late summer day with just a hint of fall. It looked like a perfect day just to be alive.

September 11, 2001, that day dawned clear, clear, and bright. There was not a single cloud in the sky. It was a nearly perfect late summer day with just a hint of fall. It looked like a perfect day just to be alive. But, in one split second, the perfect day became a hell on Earth. It was perhaps the most horrific day in the history of the United Staes.

At 8:46 AM American Airlines Flight 11, supposedly bound from Boston to California, crashed into the North Tower of New York City’s World Trade Center. The fiery crash forever changed this country. The American homeland had not been attacked in 187 years. The inconceivable had happened. The protection that we thought two oceans provided, suddenly disappeared and America faced the reality that we could be attacked.

Our national innocence died that day.

We swore that we’d never forget.

For a very short time after the attack on September 11, we were unified as a nation. President Bush committed our nation to destroying the Islamic terror network that had conceived and conducted the attack. Our national resolve for righteous vengeance seemed nearly as strong are national horror was in the days following the attack. But, before the task was done, partisan politics reared its ugly head and our united thirst for vengeance gave way to “politics as usual;” our righteous Crusade whimpered and withered away to nothing. Within months, the horrific moment that we swore we would never forget was forgotten.

For nearly a quarter of a century, Americans have discussed and debated the causes of that dreadful attack. Possible causes and motives range from the somewhat plausible to the viciously anti-American. Over the intervening years, it has become almost heretical to state the obvious reason and cause for the attack of September 11, that being that Moslems are completely incompatible with modern, civilized societies.

I said it and I stand by it. In this case Occam’s Razor holds true.

You can rationalize and wander off into incomprehensible “nuances” of thought. You can blame American “imperialism,” or the now in vogue. “Colonizers,” but unless you understand, and accept, the simple fact that Islam breeds and fosters violence and hatred, you will never get it.

The world does exist, nor function by the “Ivy Tower,” “new age,” politically correct globalist guides and rules. Geo-political events, and therefore, history is driven by the aggressive use of force. Tyrants, bullies, and dictators drive events, and they prey upon the weak. Whether on the grade school playground, in third world shithole countries, or in the international arena, the strong prey upon the weak. There are not enough nuances in any deep, intellectual discourse to sway the tyrants, bullies, and dictators of the world. The only thing that tyrants, bullies, and dictators respect is strength.

And therein lies the cause of the 9-11 attack – ever since 1979, the government of the United States refused to confront Iran and the Islamist movement. They saw us as weak, and they attacked us.

It is just that simple.

We swore that we would never forget. But it is apparent that we have forgotten. Our nation has been overrun by as many as twenty million illegal aliens whose identities and motives are unknown. Our big cities have become crime infested hell holes. For twelve of the last 16 years, our federal government has not been serving the people. For those years, the elected, appointed, and hired bureaucrats have been only serving themselves. Our nation has looked weak upon the world stage – the last president unconditionally surrendered a defeated nation and billions of dollars’ worth of perfectly functioning military equipment to radical Moslem terrorists. After the Biden farce of a government our nation looks weak and vulnerable.

We swore that we would never forget.

We have forgotten. Shame on us.

He's Just in the Way

I find the vitriolic hatred for President Trump absolutely amazing and worth discussing. Donald Trump came into public prominence during the 1970’s, as much for his flamboyant lifestyle as anything else. He was a creation of the media – until he was not. The national press fawned on his every move – celebrated his wins and losses, compounded an already bigger than life character into a media superstar.

Mr. Trump published several best-selling books. He was celebrated for his philanthropy and well respected both in NY business circles and NY “high society.” NY media was filled with photos of Donald Trump with Black politicians and celebrities. Over the years, he was publicly acknowledged for his philanthropy. Here is a partial list of the awards he has received over the years:

National Jewish Hospital's Humanitarian Award (1976)

Jewish National Fund's Tree of Life Award (1983)

Ellis Island Medal of Honor (1986)

Freedoms Foundation's President's Medal (1995)

Muhammad Ali Entrepreneur Award (2007)

Unicorn Children's Foundation's Shining Star Award (2008)

Palm Beach Police Foundation's Palm Tree Award (2010)

Lois Pope LIFE Foundation's Presidential Hero Award (2011)

The Algemeiner's Liberty Award (2015)

Marine Corps–Law Enforcement Foundation's Commandant's Leadership Award (2015)

The Friends of Zion Museum's Friends of Zion Award (2017)

20/20 Bipartisan Justice Center's Bipartisan Justice Award (2019)

Donald J. Trump – celebrity, media personality, business mogul, best-selling author, TV star, and philanthropist; well liked by the media and the American people, until the moment he announced that he was running for president as a populist, nationalist, conservative Republican with a promise to “drain the Swamp” and to “Make America Great Again”.

In that one moment, Donald Trump went from being a well-loved, popular American original to being a racist, Fascist “threat to Democracy.”

Any serious observer of American politics must ask, what was there in Mr. Trump’s announcement, and in his positions, which caused such an immediate and vicious reaction to Donald Trump running for president? What was it that he said that so enraged the mainstream media and the established Ruling Class? Was there really anything that he said that triggered the full-on onslaught? Or was it simply that he openly, and harshly criticized the “status quo,” that he dared to point out the obvious – that America was being choked to death by globalism, “progressive” liberalism, unfair trade deals, endless foreign wars, and out of control spending?

Or was there something deeper, some formless fear of something that they did not understand, but feared at the foundation of their beings? You see, I genuinely think that the Progressives, Democrats, and their shills in the mainstream media sensed right from the start that Donald Trump could connect with the American people in a way that no other politician since Reagan has been able to. For all of Mr. Trump’s wealth and “glamour,” he has a connection to the people. Mr. Trump intuitively understands us, respects, and appreciates us. From that first announce in Trump Tower, Mr. Trump has spoken directly to use, to quote from Don McLean’s “American Pie,” “in a voice that came from you and me.”

There is nothing radical in President Trump’s policies and agenda. He wants America to be safe, to be prosperous, to be treated fairly by the rest of the world, and to be respected. He understands that there are limits, some set by the Constitution, others set by practicality, to what the Federal government can, and should do. Mr. Trump understands that governments must reflect society rather than be trying to modify society.

President Trump has a much better understanding of economics than do most politicians. He knows that debt is harmful to the economy. He knows that lowering taxes – to a point – always generates new revenue. Mr. Trump is a master negotiator. He starts with sometimes ridiculous sounding positions and then negotiates to close to what he wanted to begin with. This approach has worked wonders with the tariffs and has resulted in better trade deals and a tremendous amount of new, foreign investment in manufacturing facilities in the United States. All of which will generate jobs and cash flow for American workers.

The Ruling Class can only exist as long as the American people remain unaware of their existence and their real intent. President Trump presents a real and present danger to the Ruling Class simply because he speaks to us – and for us. He understands the American people and is standing up for us. The Ruling Class must crush the threat the President presents if it is to survive.

The Ruling Class and their media allies are attacking President Trump because he is us and they hate and resent us. They cannot maintain their power and the wealth that they are pillaging from us if we have a spokesman and a “champion” fighting for us. They must destroy President Trump or lose the power that they have taken from us.

So, make no mistake, it is not Donald Trump that they hate and fear, it is us that they hate and fear – he is simply in their way.

House Cleaning Long Over Due

I am having way too much fun watching the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) shine the light on the corruption run amok in our federal government. Democrats are flooding the media with their hysterical tirades against DOGE and President Trump, showing that their support is for the corrupt bureaucrats and wasteful spending and not for the best interests of the American people.

The reaction from the Democrats really does not make sense. But, silly me expecting the Ruling Class to make sense! They are not fighting to defend the spending. They are not explaining how the egregious spending is important to US interests. They are simply screaming bloody murder about the process! Their protests range from “no Constitutional authority” to Elon Musk is trying to steal our identities, to the DOGE folks lack “clearance”. It really seems like they are simply fighting President Trump just to be fighting him.

Or, more frightening, is that the Democrats are fighting the investigations because they are on the take and raking in big bucks from these absurd federal expenditures. When one looks at the published net worths of these elected officials, many of whom have had a real job, the idea of massive kickback schemes becomes a frightening possibility.

in fiscal year 2024 the US government will borrow $1.8 trillion to meet its committed spending. All told, Congress has incurred over $36 trillion in debt. As a nation, we owe 24% more than the value of all the goods and services produced in the US in a year. This is as unsustainable as it is absurd.

Several things are going on here that are enormously important. Primarily, there is the issue of “deficit spending.” The government does not have money of its own and can only spend money that it takes from citizens. Federal spending should not exceed taxation revenue. It is completely irresponsible to spend more than you have, and it is completely absurd to borrow money that must be repaid to “give” it away as “foreign aid”. While it is noble and honorable to help the less fortunate. Borrowing to do it is just plain stupid.

There also seems to be no accountability for how federal money is being spent once it is turned over to a department or agency. There seems to be a total breakdown between the House authorizing the spending and where the money ends up. Congress totally fails on its oversight responsibilities. This must change. But it cannot change until Congress fulfills its Constitutional obligation to pass an annual budget. That process also includes following up on how the money is spent – every dollar of it. And that, it seems, has not been happening for many years. It is critical that our government develop as a fool proof method of accounting as possible as quickly as possible.

There is no issue important now for than for President Trump and DOGE to root out all the fraud, waste, and corruption in government spending. This may be the most critical issue that our government has ever faced. The long-term survival of the nation may very well depend on whether the theft and corruption can be stopped.
